How to Find Your iPad Model Number

Knowing your iPad’s model number is essential—especially if you’re planning a repair, buying accessories, selling the device, or just want to know exactly what you own.

🔍 Where to Find the Model Number

1. On the iPad’s Back Cover

Turn your iPad over and look at the back. Near the bottom, you’ll see a small line that says “Model” followed by a number (e.g., Model A1893). That’s your model number.

2. In the Settings App

  1. Go to Settings > General > About

  2. Look for “Model Number.” You might see a number starting with an M (e.g., MRM52B/A).

  3. Tap on it — it will switch to a number starting with A (e.g., A1893). That’s the model number used to identify the device.

If you're planning a screen repair and want to keep your original display (which is often better quality than replacements), ask about glass-only replacement — it saves money and preserves the original LCD!
